New Additions! Alumnae Update: Summer of 2025 – Edit

We love maintaining connections with our Destination: College alum and it’s especially exciting when they share their ongoing adventures with us. Here’s how some of them are spending their summer this year!
Zoe (Cooney Scholar ’23) Just finished her final presentation at her internship! Zoe is working a remote product management internship at a tech company and in the meantime attending conferences to build her network! She joined SEO and attended their conference in the city. Zoe also attended the Girls Who Lead: Women In Media Panel, as well as attended the FutureNow Media and Entertainment Conference.Isabella (Cooney Scholar ’23) is a rising junior at Hobart and William Smith and has a summer internship at The Black Project!Ellie (Cooney Scholar ’25) is a rising freshman at RIT and is completing her pre-college forms. She is spending time with family in Jamaica this summer. Domingos (DC Cooney Scholar ’24) – Is an EOP student at SUNY Cortland and is working as an EOP Counselor for incoming freshmenMasi (DC Cooney Scholar ’24) is a rising sophomore at UPenn and is working this summer at the Mount Vernon City Clerk’s OfficeInnocence (DC Class of ’23) – Will be exploring a concentration in medical studies this summerAlexander (DC Cooney Scholar ’24) – Sophomore at Manhattanville University and this summer will be catching up with friends and playing soccerViviana (DC Cooney Scholar ’23) – A UPenn rising junior and working on research in a UPenn labKamora and Kimora (DC Cooney Scholars ’25) – Both attending and succeeding in the EOP program at Stony Brook UniversityKendarlin (DC Cooney Scholar ’25) – is enjoying the EOP program at SUNY BrockportSai (DC Class of ’25) – is in the EOP program at University at AlbanySade (DC Class of ’23) – A rising junior at UConn and this summer is participating in 2 medical internships; One in Peru and one in GhanaJevaugh (DC Class of ’23) – Is a rising junior at UMass at Dartmouth majoring in mechanical engineering and is spending his summer playing rugbyPariz (Cooney Scholar ’24) – A rising sophomore at Siena College and this summer is working as a Camper Care counselor helping campers with emotional and behavioral challengesAin (DC Class of ’23) – A rising junior at City College NY is spending her summer exploring NYC and doing photographyIsis (DC Class of ’24) – A rising sophomore at University at Albany and working this summer as a camp counselorTatiana (DC Cooney Scholar ’24) – Is a rising sophomore at Fordham University and is working this summer at an academy of childhood developmentKarran (D Cooney Scholar ’24) – Majoring in Electrical Engineering, named Rookie of the Year for Track & Field, featured in the MVP highlight video for the athletic department, finished the year strong with a 3.3 GPA and is part of the Optical Engineering Club too. Karran is very busy – well done!Abraham (DC Cooney Scholar ’25) – Abraham is doing well at Mercy University’s HEOP programAmanda (DC Class of ’24) – Just finished her semester abroad and is working this summer at the Department of Social ServicesNaveah (DC class of ’25 and Carissa (DC class of ’25) are attending summer orientation at SUNY Purchase. You got this girls!Eric (DC Class of ’23) – A rising junior at SUNY Morrisville, on the Dean’s List and President’s List. This summer Eric is working as a camp counselor at Y-COP of Mount VernonMerissa (Top row, left; DC Cooney Scholar ’24) – A rising sophomore at University of Buffalo and spending her summer volunteering in a program for kids under five and their parents. The program provides parents a space to engage with and prep their kids for school.
