Each Team Reads Volunteer typically works with 2-3 students weekly in a small group setting using current event reading materials from NYT, WSJ, NPR, Business Insider, The Athletic etc., to build trust, comprehension, and conversational skills with adults outside the classroom setting.  Periodic 'College Knowledge' activities, guest speakers, and other enrichment content enhance the curriculum throughout the year.
