Jeff Cooney Memorial Scholarship Fund and Students

Since 2013, Destination: College has honored outstanding students in each if its programs with financial awards for college in recognition of academic and athletic performance, leadership in the Destination: College programs, and most importantly of all, grit.

Jeff Cooney was a beloved long time member of the Destination: College family and Board. In 2018, in recognition of his vision and commitment to the student –athletes he cared so passionately about during his life, the Board of Destination: College voted to name all of those scholarships in his honor and embarked on a fundraising campaign to create an endowed fund for the Jeff Cooney Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Thanks to the tremendous generosity of the family and many friends and admirers of Jeff Cooney, Destination: College is proud to announce that the Jeff Cooney Memorial Scholarship Fund has reached its goal of $500,000.  Future generations of outstanding Destination: College students, like the ones profiled below, will be the beneficiaries of Jeff Cooney’s vision, generosity and legacy.

Hear from some of our scholarship students from 2013 to date – the Jeff Cooney Memorial Scholars Class of 2018 – tell you what Destination: College has meant to them.
